Neal Fogle, 55, of Twin Anchors at Colo, formerly of Marshalltown, died recently near Boone. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Kosbau of the E-Free Church officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens after being borne there by horse-drawn hearse. There will be no visitation. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. A memorial fund is being established. Following interment rites, a time of fellowship and refreshments will be held at the hospitality room of the funeral home. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Neal and his family. Ph 844-1234. Born on September 1st, 1951, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, he was the son of P. Fred and Maurita (Myers) Fogle. At the age of two months, his parents moved as missionaries to France where they lived until his freshman year of high school. They returned to the United States and he graduated from high school in Warsaw, Indiana. Neal received his BA from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. On June 15th, 1974, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Hall at the Carlton Brethren Church near Garwin. They lived near Garwin and Marshalltown. Neal retired from Fisher Controls in September of last year and was currently employed as a contract worker with them. Mr. Fogle was a passionate supporter of Jonathan House in Sierra Leone and the House of Compassion in Marshalltown and enjoyed horses, tinkering around the farm, the outdoors, gardening, cars and car shows (especially Jaguars) and was closest to God when he worked the land. Left to celebrate his life are his wife Marilyn, six children: Benjamin (Liz) Fogle and their children Garrett and Landen of Urbandale, Rachel Fogle and her fianc TJ Brown (daughter Ashley) of Marshalltown, Luke Fogle (Girlfriend, Shannon Porter) and sons, Cole and Dustin of Marshalltown, Samuel Fogle and fianc Jenny Wilkening of Marshalltown, Sarah Fogle (Boyfriend, Brock Woosley)of Marshalltown and Isaiah Fogle (girlfriend, Britnee Konicek)of Marshalltown, his sisters, Beckie (Nick) Johnson of Gadsden, Alabama and Celeste Fogle,his brothers, Victor Fogle of Gadsden, Alabama and Mark Fogle, his father Fred (Denise) Fogle of Tallahassee, FL., mother Maurita of Gadsden, Alabama and his mother-in-law, Shirley Hall of Marshalltown and the Hall family as well as many friends. In death he has rejoined his grandparents.
