Neva Dunham

Neva Dunham, 97, of Marshalltown, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services for Neva will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Neva and her family. Neva Cooper was born on October 27, 1918 in rural Toledo to Clyde and Nellie Cooper. On November 25, 1936, she was united in marriage to Norman J. Dunham in Grundy Center. They resided in rural Montour on the farm. Norman passed away in 1987. Neva is survived by her children: Dolores Whetstine of Council Bluffs, J. Richard (Linda) Dunham of rural Montour and Darla Fanton of Portland, Oregon. Grandchildren: Mike Whetstine, Dawn (Dan) Nekola, Deidre (Bryan) Neuendorf and Lynette Dunham-Rauch. Great grandchildren: Dylan Whetstine, Darah (Tony) Bolen, Derek Nekola, Tyler and Tanner Neuendorf, Tessla Calvert and Jaycie Rauch. Great great grandchild: Bently Kerr and sisters Shirley Hall and Marjorie Dunham of Marshalltown. Neva is preceded in death by her husband Norman, parents Clyde and Nellie, siblings Russell Cooper and Velma Welton, grandchildren Mark and Kevin Whetstine and son-in-law John Fanton.
