Nicole Kay Gilliland

Nicole K. Gilliland, 25, of Windsor Heights, formerly of Marshalltown, died Wednesday, June 6th, at her home, after a long battle with illness.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Johnson officiating. She graduated from the Marshalltown High Schools Class of 2000, attended UNI and later DMACC. Nicole volunteered at Youth and Shelter Services and the Salvation Army. Nicole enjoyed her friends and was an animal lover. Left to mourn her loss are her mother Clarice Gilliland of Windsor Heights, father Mark (Nancy) Gilliland of rural Montour, her grandparents John and Karol Tootie Gilliland of Marshalltown, Karen and Paul Olich of Rochert, MN., Lavonne Meyer of Marshalltown and James Cape of Chandler, Arizona, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
