Nicole "Nikki" Zelinsky

Nicole “Nikki” Zelinsky, age 52 of Ankeny, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the State Center Specialty Care Center.

Born Nicole Corcoran Zelinsky on October 24, 1973 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Dennis and Colleen (Corcoran) Zelinsky. She graduated in 1991 from Central High School in Dubuque, and went on to Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta.

Nikki usually preferred to be a homebody, but she also could be very social. When she moved to State Center, she was friendly and a social butterfly. Nikki had a soft spot in her heart for those who were worse off than herself. She would give to good causes, including St. Jude’s and various animal organizations.

Nikki is reunited in death by her grandparents; and several aunts and uncles. Left to cherish her memory are: her children, Justus Zelinsky and Aras Zelinsky; her parents, Denny and Colleen Zelinsky; sister, Leslie Zelinsky and her daughter, Chloe; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Per Nikki and her family’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no formal services held, the family will hold a private celebration of life. Memorial donations may be directed to the family for later designation.
