Norma Williams

Norma Williams of Marshalltown passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Cremation has been accorded and as Normas request there will be no services. Norma Grace Johnson was born in Green Mountain, Iowa on July 3, 1923; she was the daughter of Louis and Grace (Lane) Johnson. Norma attended school in the Green Mountain School District. On December 24, 1943 Norma was united in marriage to Y.C. Williams in Des Arc, Arkansas. She had resided in South Bend, Indiana, Des Arc, Searcy, Arkansas and Arizona, after the loss of her son she moved to Marshalltown, to be near her brother and sisters. She had been a member of the Baptist Church and a 50 year member of Eastern Star. Norma enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, circle word and had a great love for her family, her son, grandson and great grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory is her grandson: Duane (Samantha) Williams and great-grandchildren: Jake and Grace Williams. Her sisters: Louise Boucher; Ardyth Keller and Donna Connley all of Marshalltown; Lois McMurray of Colorado and brother; Louis(Donna) Johnson of Garwin and several nieces and nephews. In death Norma rejoins her parents, Louis and Grace. Husband Y.C. Son, Carl Dee Siblings: Alma Cook, Ruth Osmond and Earl Johnson and nieces, Cheryle and Bonnie.
