Ohin Aung, 40, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Sunday February 14, 2016, at Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 21,2016, from 11:00 am to 3:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family. Ohin Myint Aung was born in Lashow, Myanmar; she was the daughter of Hla Myint and Daw Nyo. Ohin attended school in the area of her birth. On December 5, 2005, Ohin was united in marriage to Athike Aung in Lashow, Myanmar, and lived in Malaysia for a number of years before they moved to Des Moines as a refugee in 2011 and to the Marshalltown Community in 2012, where she was employed by JBS. Ohin loved to cook and take care of others; always looking to help someone in any way she could, she loved her family and was very active in the Buddhist Community in Des Moines, Iowa. She will be remembered as a very hard worker. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 9 years, Athike of Marshalltown, Iowa and her son, John Aung (7), her parents and seven siblings.
