Pamela K. Pam Schau, 58, died Saturday, July 26, 2008.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 1, 2008 at the St. Josephs Catholic Church in State Center. She will be laid to rest in St. Josephs Cemetery in State Center. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, with a vigil service at 4:30 p.m., at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. She graduated from West Marshall High School in 1968 and went on to college at Iowa State University, where she majored in Home Economics. On March 4, 1972, she married Mike Schau at Sacred Heart Church in St. Anthony, Iowa. To this union, two children were born- Amy and Tyler. The family resided in Pella, Farmington, and then moved to Clemons in 1986. Pam was the technology coordinator at West Marshall Schools for 14 years. Prior to that, she was a stay-at-home mom. Before raising her family, she had worked as a home economics teacher in the Harmony School District in Farmington. Pam was a member of St. Josephs Parish and was the secretary of Minerva Valley Telephone Company.Pam loved music and was the pianist and choir director at Sacred Heart Church in St. Anthony for many years. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, rodeos, and she cherished time with her family, especially playing with her grandchildren. Pam will be greatly missed.Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mike, of Clemons; her children, Amy(Troy) Price of Parkersburg, IA, and Tyler(Jackie) Schau of Almont, ND; her grandchildren, Ellie Price and Sidney Schau; her step-grandchildren, Kyle Price, Kate Price, and Klare Price; her mother, Mary Goecke; her sisters, Linda Baker(Fred Zeller) of State Center, and Mary Lou(Darc) Krehbiel of Wichita, KS; her mother-in-law, Betty Lou Schau of Donnellson, IA; and her brother-in-law Roger(Sandy) Schau of Farmington, IAShe was preceded in death by her father, Louis; her father-in-law, Lester Schau; her niece, Brandi Baker; and her nephew, Jason Schau.
