Patricia Pat Jordan passed away in the comfort of her home on April 27, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 30, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, with Pastor Gregg Davison officiating at 10:30a.m. A public visitation will be held on April 29, 2016 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown from 5 -7:00p.m. For condolences please feel free to contact www.mitchellfh.com or call (641)-844-1234. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Pat and her family. Pat was born on September 17, 1947 to the parents of Robert and Dorothy Rider in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was raised on the family farm. She attended Lamoille School and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1965. After high school she attended Rochester School of Nursing. She would later return to Marshalltown and work at Fisher Control as a registered nurse for over 30 years. After her retirement she followed her passion and traveled the world. She would travel to Africa, Alaska, East and West Coasts, and would spend time with family and friends on her trips. When she was not traveling she was an active member of the Red Hat Society, Trinity Lutheran Church, Volunteered at the House of Compassion, Meals on Wheels, was an over achieving gardener. When her time was not filled with travel she could be found next to her grandchildren in the pool. Left to cherish Pats memory are her companion Carl Jones of Marshalltown, daughters; Tracy (Chad) Dieleman of Albion, Robin (Kevin) Angstman of Le Grand, Stepdaughter Chris Randolph of Marshalltown, Stepson Terry Jordan of Marshalltown, Brothers; Ronald (Jane) Rider of Clive, Robert (Connie) Rider of Urbandale, Sister Nancy Rhoades of Des Moines, and grandchildren Lance, Daniel, Spencer, Samantha, Brittney, Morgan, Parker, Chloe, and Henry, and great grandson Johnathan. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Jordan, and her parents and her grandson William.
