Patricia Pat (Mrs. Al) Stephens, 65, of LeGrand, died Friday, May 8th, at her home while in care of her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12th, at the LeGrand Friends Church with Pastor Alan Mullikin officiating. She will be laid to rest in the LeGrand Friends Cemetery. Born Patricia Ann Hartman on March 16th, 1944, in Creston, Iowa, she was the daughter of George and Viola (Miller) Hartman. She graduated from the East Union High School in 1962. On March 4th, 1962, she was united in marriage to Earnest Allen Al Stephens in a small country church north of Lorimor, Iowa. They made their home in LeGrand the past 38 years. Pat was employed at the East Marshall Schools as a cook for 22 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids, garage sales, and walking. Left to cherish her memory is Al, her loving husband of 47 years, four children: Tammy (Terry) Ross of Ft. Dodge, Peggy Platt (Bruce Binion) of Cedar Rapids, Mark (Rochelle) Stephens of LeGrand and Misty (Craig) Hoefs of Tracy, MN; her precious grandchildren: Darrin, Blake and Nathan Ross; Tyler and Kayla Platt; Courtney, Mason and Samantha Stephens and Cassandra, Caitlin and Kaden Hoefs. She is also survived by her siblings:, Richard Hartman of Ames, Dennis Hartman of Versailles, MO, Janice Culbertson of Afton, Jim Hartman of Corning, Georgia Hartman, Alan Hartman, Nita Hartman, Steve Hartman, Sandra Lawrence, Yvonne Piearson, Vicki Hartman, Linda Hull and Sheryl Draman all of Creston, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In death she has rejoined her parents and grandsons Ryan Platt and Dustin Ross.
