Patricia Ann Spear

Patricia Ann Spear, 73, of Marshalltown, Iowa; formerly of Le Grand, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Patricia’s wishes were to be cremated with no funeral services. Her family is being cared for by the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Patricia was born on January 4, 1947 in Toledo, Iowa. She was the daughter of Steve Hala and Ruth (Titcomb) Hala. Patricia was an active, faithful member of the Jehovah Witnesses of Marshalltown for over 45 years, whom were like family. Patricia worked at the Iowa Veterans Home as a nurse for 26 years and loved her time there and considered the residents she cared for as family as well. On August 28, 1965 she married the love of her life, Gary Spear. Together they raised 3 children: Steve (Dottie) Spear, Chris (Danny) Bell and Chad (Megan) Spear. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she cherished, and her sister Nancy Hala and a brother Steven (Pam) Hala. Patricia is preceded in death by her mother Ruth and father Steve and brother Bernie Hala.
