Patricia Ann Hughes

Patricia Ann Hughes, 66, of Marshalltown passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017, due to complications of a severe stroke at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home on Thursday, August 24, 2017 with Deacon Tom Renze officiating. Patricia Ann Robinson was born on April 27, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa; she was the daughter of Elmer and Virginia (Davis) Robinson. Patricia attended School in the Marshalltown Community Schools and furthered her education at Marshalltown Community College and University of Idaho. On August 24, 1971, Patricia was united in marriage to Ronald Ron Hughes in Boise, Idaho and they returned and made Marshalltown their home in 1974. Patricia was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and spending time with her family, and always enjoyed life to the fullest. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years Ron, daughters, Dawne (Hughes) Di Cicco of Newport News, Virginia and Penny Hughes (Joe Dever) of Silver Spring, Maryland, grandchildren, Aden, Caelan, Rowan and Fallon and her sister, Virginia Ginger Novelle of Granger, Iowa. In death Patricia rejoins her parents, Elmer and Virginia.
