Patricia Pat Jorgensen, 70, of 212 North 12th Avenue, Marshalltown, died Tuesday, February 19th, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 23rd, at St. Henrys Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Miller of St. Marys Parish officiating. Entombment will follow in the Riverside Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service conducted by Deacon Roger Polt officiating. Born Patricia Ricken on December 10th, 1937, near Haverhill, Iowa, she was the daughter of Ben and Theresa (Freese) Ricken. She received her education in the St. Joseph Parochial School in Haverhill, the Melbourne Public Schools and graduated from the Van Cleve High Schools Class of 1955. On February 13th, 1960, she was united in marriage to John Jorgensen. They made their home in Marshalltown where she was employed at Marshalltown Instruments and Fishers prior to marriage and after marriage was a homemaker and employed at Lowes Flowers until her retirement. Pat was an active member of St. Marys Catholic Church and following retirement, she did volunteer work at the Marshall County Conservation Board Grimes Farm. Left to cherish her memory are her four loving children: Terri (Fritz) Polt of Marshalltown, Deb (Brad) Trickey of State Center, Mark Jorgensen of Marshalltown and Cindy (Larry) Anderson of Marshalltown, her nine precious grandchildren: Kristen Holm, Shelby Anderson, Seth Trickey, Lacey Anderson, Jessica Trickey, Emily Trickey, Jaydon Anderson, Jordan Anderson and Logan John Anderson, her sister Alice McBride of McKinney, Texas, brother Lawrence (Marian) Ricken of Haverhill, sister in law Gladys Ricken of Haverhill, mother-in-law Ruth Jorgensen of Marshalltown, sister-in-law Phyllis (Ron) Gould in Oregon, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Awaiting her arrival were her parents, her beloved husband John, brother Leo, sister and brother-in-law Irene (Bob) Warden, brother-in-law Roy McBride, father-in-law Marvin Jorgensen and brother-in-law Joel Jorgensen.
