Patricia Kerr

Patricia “Pat” Kerr, 70, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Sunday December 9, 2018 at Unity Point Health in Marshalltown.   Funeral services for Pat will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Iowa River Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jennifer Daniel officiating.  Public visitation will be held from 5 pm – 7 pm on Thursday, December 13 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Pat’s name to her family.  For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call 641-844-1234.    Patricia Brewer was born on November 28, 1948 in Marshalltown Iowa to Kenneth and Rosetta Jane (Keeler) Brewer.  She attended the Clemons school district.  On June 7, 1969 Patricia was united in marriage to the love of her life Larry Kerr by the Justice of the Peace in LeGrand, Iowa.   Pat was a loving, hard working woman dedicated to both her health career and her family.  She worked at the Iowa Veteran’s Home as well as several doctors in town.  She was a proud active member of the Iowa River Church of the Brethren.  Pat graciously volunteered her time to the local hospital and the Red Hat Society.  She had a passion for reading, studying the Bible, and above all loving her family.  Pat adored babies and shopping especially.   Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Larry Kerr; children Noel (Betty) Kerr and Bryan Kerr; her grandchildren Michael, Chandra, Farren, and Trenton; her great-grandchildren Leroy and Romy; nephews Jeremy, Timothy, and Matthew; and her brother Richard Brewer.    She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Stephen Kerr, and her sister Betty.
