Patricia Anne Lacina passed away from this life on Friday September 18th 2026.
Patty was born on July 20, 1949, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Duane and Mary Fuller. Growing up in Marshalltown, she met the love of her life, Joe Lacina. The two were united in marriage on January 2, 1970, at First Methodist Church in Marshalltown and shared 56 wonderful years together. Although Patty worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for more than 15 years, her true calling was caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. Patty had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel loved, valued, and at home. Patty was well known for her love of baking and sharing her talents with others. Her passion led her to open “Patty’s Popping Fresh Pies” in Marshalltown, where she delighted countless family members, friends, and customers with her homemade creations. Generous and selfless by nature, Patty always put the needs of others before her own. Her kindness, compassion, and giving spirit touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joe Lacina; her children, Christina Ennenga (Jason), Todd Lacina (Stephanie), and Tammi Lacina; her grandchildren, Ashley, Madison (Patrick), Tanner (Abby), Braden (Evanese), Lochlyn, Parker, Drake, Dalton, and Demi; her great-grandchildren, Charlette, Elijah, Oliver, and Elliana; her brothers, Mike Fuller (Deb) and Doug Fuller(Linda); and her sister, Jeannette Baumler (Conrad). Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Mary Fuller, and her infant twin sisters, Marie Annette and Charlotte Marie.
Patty’s legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. The Lacina family would like to thank the Westbrook Acres Nursing home, St. Croix Hospice, and Mitchell Family Funeral Home.
