She was raised and educated in the Marshall County School District graduating from Lenihan Catholic High School. On October 9, 1970, Patti was united in marriage to the love of her life, LeRoy Morford, at St. Marys Catholic Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. From this union three daughters were born: Kimberly, Jennifer and Melissa. Patti was a dedicated and cheerful woman in all that she did and shared her radiant smile with everyone she met. Patti was grateful to be a hospitable homemaker and was a supportive cheerleader for LeRoy, the girls and all of their friends' various activities. She spent decades building, decorating and maintaining the "Morford Manor" and managing the family business, LeRoy Morford Construction Company. Patti shared her sweet, selfless spirit by volunteering in her daughter's classrooms, being active on the PTA, and serving as a teachers assistant at Fisher Elementary. Patti's passion for decorating led her to work at Teton Arts in Marshalltown and open her own whimsical store, Lakeside Giftiques, in Clear Lake. Patti's happiness was found by making memories, creating experiences and living each day to its fullest with her family and her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed the fun in the sun at their home in Clear Lake. Patti was "happy, happy" to generously give her time and add her colorful sparkle to community activities and clubs, including the Jaycee's, Tiny Tim Tree Festival and the Optimist Club's annual Sweetheart Auction. She found joy in helping all kids, gardening, baking, painting, shopping, rock n roll and dancing. Left to keep Patti's vibrant light shining is her loving husband: LeRoy Morford; three daughters: Kimberly (Kevin) Baeth, Jennifer (Ben) Miller and Melissa (Kevin) Penner; grandchildren: Stephanie and Emily Baeth, Kenzie and Harper Miller, Will and Joe Penner plus one baby girl on the way; siblings: Robert (Norma) Black and Mary (Bernie) Ferneau; as well as several loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Doreen Black; and two uncles, Vern Fiala and Jim Black.
