Patricia "Pat" Cheville

Patricia “Pat” Cheville, of Marshalltown, passed away peacefully on September 24th, 2021 at the age of 83. Graveside services for Pat will be held on Thursday, September 30th, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Pat and her family. Pat was born to Floyd and Elizabeth Thompson on January 26th, 1938 in Marshalltown. She was married to her husband, Wendell Cheville on November 11th, 1955 and went on to have seven children. Pat was a devoted mother and grandmother, her family meant everything to her. She had a genuine heart and never complained of anything, even when life was hard. She strived to see the positive in every situation. Pat enjoyed bluegrass, fishing, crossword, bowling and chocolate. She will be missed by many. Pat is survived by her seven children: Steve (Pam) Cheville, Cindy (Candido) Archuleta, Larry (Dee) Cheville, Bill (Pat) Cheville, Wendell “Joe” (Julia) Cheville, Jean (Bobby) Cheville and Tricia (Mike) Gohring. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two sister-in-laws: Connie and Shirley and one brother-in-law: Hershall. Pat is preceded in death by her husband: Wendell Cheville; parents: Floyd and Elizabeth Thompson; sisters: Francine and Charlene; brother: Raymond and grandson, Jeremy Mehaffey.
