Patricia Pose

Patricia Pose, 78, of Marshalltown, died Saturday afternoon, March 1st, at the Mercy Hospice House in Hiawatha, Iowa. She departed this life after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 5th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with a fellowship/refreshment time following at the funeral home hospitality room. Born Patricia Danielson on January 9th, 1930, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of George and Myrtle (Gooding) Danielson. She graduated from the Marshalltown High School and later the Central Iowa Business College. On June 29th, 1950, she was united in marriage to Paul F. Pose at the Central Christian Church in Marshalltown. They made their home in Marshalltown where she was employed with Avon (winning many awards) and owned their own draperies business. She was an avid quilt maker and enjoyed sewing, camping, fishing, the outdoors, and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi and numerous quilting guilds. She especially treasured her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Paula (Gary) Heinrichs of Swisher, Iowa, Michael (Kelly) Pose of University Park, Iowa, Kevin (Julie) Pose of Rochester, MN, and Craig (Lindsay) Pose of Liscomb, her grandchildren: Parker and Teale Pose, step-grandchildren: Ethan and Kyle Pottebaum and Tyler and Tasha Miller, her faithful companion Paddington Bear Pose- her dog, brother George (Ruth) Danielson of Ft. Walden Beach, FL, and a host of friends. In death she has rejoined her husband (1994) and her parents.
