Patricia West

Patricia Ann West, 85, of Foley, Alabama and formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family under the care of Southern Care Hospice.

Funeral services for Patricia will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Patricia Ann Trump was born on December 6, 1937 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the daughter to Robert William and Marjorie Naomi (LaPorte) Trump. On December 26, 1956, Patricia was united in marriage to Loren “Doug” West.

Through the years Pat worked at Montgomery Ward in Marshalltown and then as a medical office assistant in the office of Dr. Larry Weiss. Later she worked in the office of the Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, Missouri. Prior to retirement, she was the office manager at the Auction Corner in Dillion, Iowa.

Pat was a member of the Marshalltown YMCA, the Magnolia Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, traveling and camping.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 66 years: Doug; children: Michael (Regina) West of Montour, Bill (Karen) West of Omaha, Carolyn (Curt) Meier of Altoona and Bruce (Paula) West of Unionville, Missouri. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Marjorie.
