Patrick Bud Gene Hamilton, 72, of Union, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Valley View Nursing and Rehab in Eldora. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed towards the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown. Patrick Hamilton was born on March 26, 1942 in Bendavis, Missouri to Patrick W and Nellie Eunice Collins Hamilton. Bud was enlisted in the United States Navy from 1960 until he was honorably discharged in 1963. Bud started his working career at Culligans in Marshalltown before going into construction in Minnesota and Michigan. Bud was an avid fisherman and enjoyed nature and just being outdoors. He also enjoyed the time spent with his dogs, Kia and Lucky. Bud was a very family oriented man. He enjoyed spending time with his immediate family as much as the time spent with extended family. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Tiffany (Jamie Howell) Creekmuir of Mason City. Siblings; Irma Haney of Houston, Missouri, Patsy Hutcheson of Fort Collins, Colorado, Leon Hamilton of Tennessee and Linda (Jim) Bruce of Union, Iowa. His ex wife Sherry Creekmuir and his precious dog; Kia. Bud is preceded in death by his parents and his dog Lucky.
