Patrick Luke Melberg

Patrick Luke Melberg, passed away in the comfort of his home on December 20, 2018. A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. For condolences please visit www.Mitchellfh.com or call (641)-844-1234.  Pat was born on January 5, 1961, the son of Gordon and Roberta 'Bobbie' (Usefara) Melberg in Marshalltown, Iowa. Pat was a graduate of Marshalltown High School with the class of 1978. Pat was a welder/fabricator for the GMT Corporation. He was a man of many trades and could fix or make just about anything; although his true passion was working on motorcycles and 4 wheelers.   Pat had a huge heart and love for just about everyone he met. He would do or give anything he could for his friends and family. He was always willing to mentor or to just share his knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn, especially kids. Pat was a joyful man that loved to have a good time, he was funny, sarcastic, a forgiver, a hard worker, and a great friend, dad, and grandpa. He was a light in many people’s lives and will be missed by so many.  Left to cherish Pat’s memory are his children Mandi (Dallas) Miller of Epping, ND and Aaron Melberg of Marshalltown IA; grandson Kievyn Waggoner of Epping ND. He is also survived by a niece Corrie Melberg, nephew Christian Melberg, a sister and countless friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents Roberta and Gordon Melberg, his brother Ole Melberg, and sister Aleta Melberg.
