Paul Steven Patterson

Paul Patterson, 68, of Marshalltown, formerly from Gilman, passed away Tuesday morning, March 22, 2022 at Southridge Specialty Care. To honor his and his family’s wishes, cremation rites will be given and his family will conduct a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26th at the Prairie View Cemetery in Gilman. Following the service, his family invites those attending to join them at a luncheon at the Gilman City Hall. Paul Steven Patterson was born on May 2, 1953, the son of Ward and Marilyn (Foley) Patterson. He grew up in Gilman and graduated from the Marshalltown High school with the class of 1972. He was employed as a custodian for the Marshalltown Public School system and most recently he spent several years at Anson school. When not working, Paul enjoyed farming, fishing, driving his truck, helping anyone who asked and having coffee in Gilman and Perkins with his friends. Surviving is his daughter, Melissa (Justin) Curtis and ten grandchildren: Grant, Eli, Brock, Libby, Chandler, Carson, Cecelia, Titus, Lincoln and Asher. Preceding him in death are his parents and brother, Mike.
