Paula Kellogg

Paula Kellogg, 62, of Gilman, Iowa, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Christmas morning 2020 with her loving husband at her side. At this time, cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials in Paula’s name may be directed to her family for a later designation. Paula Marie was born February 10, 1958 to parents Kenneth and Fran (Love) Dutemple in Albia, Iowa. She was the youngest of three children. At an early age, Paula and her family called Grinnell home and she attended school graduating from Grinnell High School. Paula was united in marriage to her husband Jeffrey Kellogg on March 28, 1998 in Grinnell, Iowa. The two were residents of the rural Gilman area. She was the vice principal secretary at Grinnell High School. While Noah was attending school at East Marshall, Paula worked as a teacher’s aide. Paula and Jeff were members of the Gilman Saddle Club and New Hope Christian Church. In her free time, she loved to do anything with horses and this included trail riding with her husband Jeff. The two would make trips together to the Cheyenne Frontier Days where they had gotten engaged. She would make her son, Noah, Pb&J sandwiches whenever he would ask for them. In her son Noah’s eyes she was funny, patient, and always helpful. She enjoyed gardening around the home. She would always keep her lifelong best friend Saundy Anderson out of trouble. She was always happy and family oriented and loved and cared for everybody that she met. Left to remember and cherish her memory are her husband Jeff Kellogg; her children, Noah (Sydney) Kellogg, Dallas (Don) Farber and Andrew (Stacia) Hobbs; her grandchildren, Meagan and Makenna Farber and Kaylee and Kegan Hobbs; and her sisters Pam (Duane) Blagden and Penny (Paul) Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Fran Dutemple.
