Paulette Zeiner, 64, of Marshalltown passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at St. Henrys Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012, with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. Phone 641-844-1234.Paulette Alice Pirages was born on August 5, 1947 in Davenport, Iowa; she was the daughter of Joseph and Ollie (Clark) Pirages. Paulette had attended school in Bettendorf until moving to the Cedar Falls area her sophomore year and graduated with the Class of 1965. She then attended UNI and received her teaching degree and furthered her education at Drake University receiving her Masters degree. She had lived in Marshalltown while working for the Marshalltown School District for her entire teaching career; she truly loved her students and teaching them and after her retirement she continued to substitute for the Marshalltown Schools. Paulette was a member of St. Henrys Catholic Church, Iowa State Education Association and National Education Association and her Teachers Sorority ,Alpha Delta Kappa. She enjoyed her work as a teacher, but also found enjoyment in playing cards with her card clubs, especially bridge. Paulette was always working on crafts and belonged to the Stampin Up Club; she always had a busy life and the most important thing in her life was her family.Left to cherish her memory is her son, Andy (Sue) Zeiner of Marshalltown; her parents, Joseph and Ollie Pirages of Cedar Falls, Iowa; her siblings: Connie (Garry) Bahe of Hazelton, Iowa, Phil (Ellen) Pirages of Mc Minnville, Oregon, Dennis (Sue) Pirages of Henderson, Nevada and brother-in-law Trevor Davis of Chicago, Illinois.Paulette was preceded in death by her sister, Nanci Davies of Downers Grove, Illinois.
