Pearl Felton

Pearl May Felton, 91, of Marshalltown, passed away on December 4, 2014 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services for Pearl will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Cremation and burial will take place at a later date. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Pearl and her family. Pearl Dunink was born on September 8, 1923 in Montezuma, Iowa to Arnold and Bessie Dekraai Dunink. Pearl married Guy Carkhuff in 1945 at St Anthonys. Guy passed away in 1966 and Pearl later married Arnold Felton. Pearl had worked for J.C. Pennys and as a homemaker. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star as well as active in the VFW. Pearl enjoyed cross word puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune. Pearl is survived by her son: Dennis (Gloria) Carkhuff of Marshalltown, six grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Pearl is preceded in death by her parents: Arnold and Bessie, husbands: Guy and Arnold, daughter Betty Lear, sisters: Martha Bogard and Lucile Bogard and brothers Clarence and Alvi.
