Pedro Morciego, 81, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A Memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Pedro Morciego was born in Cuba on November 21, 1934; he was the son of Pedro Morciego and Luz Cristia. He attended school in the area of his birth and received his High School diploma. On October 21, 1996, he was united in marriage to Sonia Morciego in Chicago, Illinois. They have lived in Marshalltown for the last 9 years. Pedro worked at United Airlines and had worked in a bakery. He loved boxing, raising a garden and working his yard. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 19 years, Sonia of Marshalltown; children, Luz Morciego of Marshalltown, Iowa and Gladis Madonia of Chicago, Illinois; and 3 grandchildren. In death Pedro joins his parents, Pedro and Luz.
