Peggy Jo (Baedke) HiettPeggy Jo Hiett, 52, of Ames, passed away surrounded by family on May 29 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames after a courageous seven month battle with ovarian cancer. Her family will receive friends and celebrate her life at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown onMonday, June 2, from 6 to 8 PM.Born August 5, 1955 to Darwin and Mary Jane (Musser) Baedke in Boone, she was raised in Marshalltown and graduated from MHS in 1973. She married Thomas Hiett on September 9, 1975 and they eventually settled in Ames. Peggy was employed for the last 15 years at Wells Fargo (formerly Brenton Bank) in Ames. Her hobbies included crocheting, stained glass, collecting angels and all things related to cats. She loved finding and making special gifts for her friends and family. Left to take pleasure in memories of Peggys life are Tom, Peggys loving husband of more than thirty-two years, two children, Jacob (Mandi) of Ames and Amy of Boone, Peggys parents, Darwin and Mary Jane, brothers Ted (Becky) and Terry (Linda), all of Marshalltown, along with a niece and several nephews.
