Peggy Snyder

Peggy Snyder, 65, of Toledo, Iowa, passed away on the morning of May 18, 2023 at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, surrounded by her sister.

Peggy Sue Schrader was born March 31, 1958 to parents Marvin and Glenda (Pierce) Schrader in El Paso, Texas. In her early years, Peggy lived in various towns of Texas and Missouri before her family came to Iowa and resided in the Tama/Toledo area. She attended school in Tama and later graduated from High School.

Peggy was united in marriage to Marlin “Snapper” Snyder. They were together many years but later divorced. After their divorce they still remained close friends. Peggy worked for years at various jobs over the years but landed and found her love in Nursing. She spent many years as a CNA working in different care facilities. In her free time, Peggy loved to spend time with her dogs, work on crafting projects, and hang out with her friends and family.

Peggy is survived by her sisters, Kim (Leonard Bader) Schrader of Boonville, Missouri and Connie (Larry Battazzi) Black of Jewel, Iowa; she is also survived by her four legged furry companions Eddy and Grace, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Snapper Snyder.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Glenda Schrader; her sister, Jeri Andrews; her brother, David “Dog” Schrader; and her nephew Marvin Lee Bader.
