Phyllis Marie Dodd, 64, of Marshalltown, died October 18, 2009, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 23rd, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in State Center. She graduated from Logan-Magnolia High School in 1962. On April 12, 1964, Phyllis married Donald Vance Dodd in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple lived in Omaha, Maine, Minnesota, and most recently in Iowa.Phyllis worked at Meskwaki for 15 years, retiring in June of 2008. She enjoyed playing Bingo, staying home with her grandchildren, running errands for everyone, and spending time with her family and friends.Surviving Phyllis are her husband, Donald Dodd; her children, Debbie Dodd of Marshalltown, Dianne (Ryan Rundall) Christy of Marshalltown, and Joe Dodd of Marshalltown; her grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Amber, Tyler, Jessica, Justin, Chris, Autumn, Kayla, Samantha, and Alex; her mother-in-law, Frieda Dodd; her sister-in-law, Mona Dodd; and her 7 brothers and sisters.In death, she has rejoined her parents, her father-in-law, Joe Dodd, and her brother-in-law, Dennis Dodd.
