Phyllis Lorraine Halverson Green, age 77, Mound City, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020. She was born on March 22, 1943, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Iva (Kiser) Halverson. She was untied in marriage to Robert Green on Feb. 7, 1968, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Together they ran a cleaning business and meat locker. She later worked as a bookkeeper and retired from the Disney Company. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mound City, Kansas, branch, Eastern Star and the Red Hat Club. She was not one to sit at home. She enjoyed shopping, riding motorcycles, traveling, being with her family, playing cards, and researching genealogy. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Verneal Baker; brother, Marvin Doran; five grandchildren, Trisha Purdy, Brylee Green, Jonathon Barber, Christopher Good, Charlyssa Good; and a daughter in law, Susan Good. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Robert; seven children, Kim Barber, Chris Felix (John), Troy Good, Michael Green, Tate Green, Robert Good, William Good (Kim); grandchildren Matthew and Sara Barber, Lindsey and Trevor Sirdoreus, Zachariah Liskowiak, Leslie and Matt Langford, Judith and Rob Calisti, Joel and Caleb Green, Kelsey Poole, Moriah Manecke, Joe Potter, Steven Potter, Ashley Green, Aaron Good, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. A Gathering to celebrate Phyllis’s life will be held at Mitchell Family Funeral Home May 22, 2021, 1:00 Visitation, 2:00 Funeral Services, followed by a lunch and burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Le Grand, Ia.
