Phyllis Willer, 82, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook, Iowa while under the care of Iowa River Hospice.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Phone 641-844-1234.Phyllis Ann Kaloupek was born on March 3, 1930 in Elberon, Iowa; she was the daughter of Charles and Pearl (Dralle) Kaloupek. Phyllis attended school in the Toledo Community School District graduating with the class of 1948. On September 14, 1952 Phyllis was united in marriage to Chuck Willer in the United Methodist Church in Toledo, Iowa. After Phyllis and Chuck were married they had lived in Reinbeck, Toledo, Gladbrook and finally settled in Marshalltown in 1979. Phyllis had worked for Thermo Gas and the YMCA in Marshalltown. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, PEO, Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary and had been Past President. Phyllis always enjoyed a good book, loved to cook and bake, crosswords and word finds but her priority was her husband, family and her knight in shining armor, her grandson, Aaron.Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Chuck, her children: Steve and Kurt Willer of Gladbrook and Brenda (Tom) Fleming of Marshalltown, her grandson, Aaron Fleming, her siblings: Mary Lou Kaloupek of Newton, Jack (Mary Lou) Kaloupek of Lake Lure, North Carolina and Chuck (Mary Fay) Kaloupek of Marshalltown.In death, Phyllis rejoins her parents, Charles and Pearl, and siblings: Doug, Bob and Lee.
