Pauline Polly Titcomb, 74, of Tama, passed away after a brief illness, on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral services for Polly will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Reformed Baptist Church in Tama, Iowa with Pastor Paul Rendall officiating. Public visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church where Pollys family will be present to greet friends. Pauline Alston was born on April 4, 1940, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and June (Collins) Alston. Polly was raised and educated in the Tama school district graduating from Tama High School. On June 25, 1961, Polly married the love of her life Ray Titcomb in Tama, Iowa. From this union three children were born: Brenda, Scot and Sheryl. Polly spent most of her working years as a seamstress. She had a passion for her work and also enjoyed sewing for fun. She was a dedicated member of the Reformed Baptist Church in Tama. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 52 years: Ray Titcomb; children: Brenda (A.B.) Jackson and Sheryl Titcomb. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son: Scot Titcomb; one brother: Ray Jr. Alston and one sister: Shirley Alston.
