Ralph L. Weber

Ralph L. Weber, 90, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Grandview Heights Rehab and Healthcare Center. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services through Mitchell Family Funeral Home at this time. The family is planning on burial at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Ralph and his family. Ralph L. Weber was born on June 24, 1924, in Momence, Illinois, the son of William H. and Fleeta (Rice) Weber. He was raised in Grant Park, Illinois and graduated from high school in Milford, Illinois. Ralph married Rose Erwin on January 22, 1944, in Marshalltown. She preceded him in death in 1976. Ralph and Rose operated The Coney Island Restaurant in downtown Marshalltown for many years. He later ran a cleaning service for several local businesses. Ralph met Cleatis Tonche and shared a residence from 1979 until his time of death. Ralph was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown for many years. He had a passion for his family, fishing, playing the slots at the casino and watching football as well as any sport that was on TV. He is survived by one son, Michael W. (Janice) Weber of Waterloo, IA; significant other: Cleatis Tonche (Hazen); one step-daughter: Joanna Coronado (Tonche) 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Mary Peisen, an infant brother: Buddy Weber; one sister: Dorothy Weber; one brother: Kenneth Weber and an infant daughter: Melody.
