Ramona D. Carpenter, 78, of Marshalltown passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 1, 2011 after a short illness at the Marshalltown Hospital. Phone 641-844-1234Ramona Darlene Carpenter was born January 25, 1933 to Claude and Lois (Hofer) Schaffer in Grinnell, Iowa. Ramona was then raised in Brooklyn, Iowa and where she later married Max Keller in 1951. Shortly after, Ramona moved to Tama where she met and remarried Richard Carpenter in 1956. Ramona resided in Tama for many years after.Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Carolyn Keller-Brewer of Montour, Iowa, Susan (Jerry) Helleso of Malcom, Iowa, and Chuck Carpenter of Marshalltown Iowa, Hersix grandchildren: Holly Brewer of Marshalltown, Iowa, Joey Brewer of South Dakota, April (Jeff)McKibbin of Rhodes, Iowa,Mandy Carpenter of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Kristina Helleso of Brooklyn, Iowa,and Bryan Helleso of Malcom, Iowa.Her Many Great-Grandchildren: Kyuss, Kailyn, and Kyler Brewer, Iyawa, Seenanaee, and Joeseph III Brewer,Trinity, Justice, Kendall, and Kaynen See, Ronan and Callon Ham, Her one sister: Bonnie Creps of Malcom, Iowa, many nieces and nephews.Ramona is proceeded in death by her parents Claude and Lois, and her husband Richard.
