Randall “Randy” Haley, age 68, of Colo, Iowa, passed away on August 23, 2025 in the comfort of his own home under the care of Iowa River Hospice with his wife at his side.
Randy Haley was born on October 14, 1956 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the second of seven children born to William “Bill” and Thelma (Smith) Haley. Randy grew up in State Center, Iowa and was a graduate of West Marshall High School’s class of 1974.
On September 10, 1976, Randy was united in marriage to Marge Doser at the Sacred Heart Church in St. Anthony, Iowa. They made their home together in Colo, Iowa where Randy ran their farm. They raised three children, Michelle, Jason and Charity. Randy was a jack of all trades when it came to farming, he worked on the machinery, did the truck driving and the daily operations. In his free time, Randy enjoyed going hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was talented in music and enjoyed playing the piano and was known to socialize with his friends while enjoying a cold drink.
Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Marge Haley; his children, Michelle (Todd) Dengler, Jason Haley and Charity (Kaleb) Van Cleve; his grandchildren, Alissa, Kayla, Samantha and Veronica Dengler, Broden, Kensli, Zuri and Varah Haley; his mother, Thelma Haley; siblings, Teri (Jeff) Stauffacher, Michael Haley, Tracy Haley, Barry (Mari) Haley, Cindy (Kevin) McCauley and Sandy (William) Haley along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Bill Haley.
A visitation will be held for Randy on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1:30 until 3:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. For additional information or to send a condolence to the family please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call 641-844-1234.
