Randy Hundley, 43, of Melbourne, died unexpectedly at his home on September 19, 2008.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 30th at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Father Jim Miller officiating. Please feel free to wear casual clothing and bring your street rod, car, or motorcycle to honor Randys work and his love of classic cars. He will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Haverhill. After the burial, there will be a gathering at the UAW Hall. Please bring your own beverages. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Monday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com . The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Randy and his family. Ph. 641-844-1234.Randy was born in Marshalltown on January 9, 1965, to Donald and Betty (Durns) Hundley. He was raised in LeGrand and attended East Marshall Schools, graduating in 1983. He was employed by Lennox Industries for 23 years, working various positions within the plant. He also managed Randys Refinish Shop, where he repaired and rebuilt cars. Randy loved Mopar and owned a variety of them and rebuilt, repaired, and showed his pride and joy, a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda. He won many trophies and car shows. He was a union member and a member of many car clubs. He had been previously engaged to Dana Dunn and they have a daughter, Lexie Jo. Randy had a quick smile and a twinkle in his eye.He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Lexie Jo Hundley; his girlfriend, Kathy Chaloupek; his mother, Betty; his sister Linda (Les) McCargar of Gilman; his brothers Dean Hundley of Nevada, Kevin (Tracy) Hundley of Marshalltown, and Gordon (Karen) Hundley of Des Moines; nephews Paul and Dan McCargar of Gilman, and Bryce and Grant Hundley of Des Moines; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. In death, he is reunited with his grandparents and his father, Donald.
