Rebecca “Becky” Ann (Moyer) Stanley was born on September 18, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the daughter of Don and Jean (Booth) Moyer. Becky attended SEMCO and graduated with the class of 1970. After graduation, Becky attended beauty school, where she trained in cosmetology. Becky was blessed with three children, Aimee, Allison, and Adam from a previous union. She adored them with her whole heart. She spent countless hours enjoying their sporting events and activities when they were younger. Her amazing support continued through all the seasons of life with her children.

On April 16, 1988, she married the love of her life, Eldon Stanley “Stan”, at the Gilman United Methodist Church. They made their home in Gilman, Iowa. During her career, Becky worked first as a cosmetologist, then chose to stay home to care for her children. Later, she opened her own in-home daycare. She was a proud member of the “Turn Around Gang,” a Harley-Davidson motorcycle club. Their motto was simply: “If you miss the turn, just turn around and ride.” In her free time, Becky enjoyed riding her Harley and spending time at the lake—AKA “her ocean.” “Mama Becky,” as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren, was deeply involved in their lives and activities. She and Eldon often took turns attending their grandchildren’s events so that one of them was always there to cheer them on. Becky loved getting her nails done and was a true Hobby Lobby enthusiast. She also loved spending time with her truest, lifelong best friend, Joyce and her girlfriends from the class of ‘70. In her younger years, she was an outstanding all-around athlete, participating in basketball, softball, and track. Becky was known for being outspoken—she spoke her mind and never sugarcoated anything, but her heart was so big. However, when Mama Becky talks, you better listen!

Becky is survived by her husband, Eldon Stanley; her children: Aimee (Josh) Eitel of Grinnell, Allison Kivett of Gilman, and Adam (Raechel) Wilkens, also of Gilman; her nine grandchildren: Baylee (Seth) Signs, Gracee (Luke) Roudabush, Keelie Eitel, Brody Kivett, Riley Wilkens, Jaylen Eitel, Ashlyn Wilkens, Carter Eitel, and Lainie Eitel; and her adorable morkie, Lily.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Jean; her sister, Donna Jean; her brother, Jan; and her beloved fur babies: Bella and Cloe.

Becky’s family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care and dedication.
