Rebecca Smith Mulholland

Rebecca Renee (Smith) Mulholland, 49, of Marshalltown, died early Sunday morning, September 18, at the Iowa River Hospice Home with her loving family at her side. The family greatly appreciates all the love and care she received from Iowa River Hospice and her doctors and nurses. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. With respect to her memory, please wear casual attire. A fellowship will immediately follow. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. She will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to her family. She received her education in the Marshalltown Public Schools. Rebecca resided her entire life in Marshalltown where she was employed most recently at the Villa del Sol, 13th Street Inn and the Iowa Veterans Home. She loved collecting red/white/blue dcor, spending time with her children, grandchildren and family and also the patients and girls she worked with. She will be greatly missed. On December 22, 2006, she was united in marriage to Jayde Allen Mulholland. Left to cherish her memory are Jayde, her children Michael Smith (Amber) of Laurel and Michelle Smith (Jay) of Tama, her grandchildren: Miss Mackenzie, Kyler, Logan, Madison, Rilea, Jayda and Tucker, her mother Linda Watts of Marshalltown, siblings: Jeff Foster (Brenda) of Stilwell, KS, Kevin Watts (Dee) of Lorena, TX, Rob Watts (Michelle) of Gardner, KS, her in-laws Joe and Donetta Griego, her faithful four-legged companions Max and Gizmoe, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In death, she rejoined her grandparents and son, Matthew Wade Smith.
