Rhonda Sue Sargent

Rhonda “Ronnie” Sue Sargent, 54, of Marshalltown, Iowa, was called home to her Lord and Savior on February 21, 2021.    Per the wishes of Rhonda and her family, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no formal service at this time. For additional questions or to leave a condolence, please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call 641-844-1234.  Rhonda Sue Sargent was born March 9, 1966, to Michael and Gloria (O’Neal) Ruth in Columbus, Ohio.  Known by her friends as Ronnie, she graduated high school in 1984 from Mifflin Senior High and attended school for Nursing and Medical Aid in both Ohio and Marshalltown Community College. She spent her entire life working to care for others, giving them gifts and making sure those in her life knew they were loved. Rhonda spent many years working as a caregiver, spending 7 years at the Iowa Veterans’ Home and showing compassion to everybody.   Rhonda loved cheering on the Ohio State football team, and she adored fostering stray cats in her own home. Rhonda had a big heart, and her smile never faded. She was friendly and warm-hearted to all. Left to cherish her memory are her father, Michael “Mike” and step-mom, Lois Ruth; her church mom Becky and Pa Rodney McTurk, her brother, Michael Wayne II; and her beloved fur-babies. Rhonda is reunited in heaven with her mother, Gloria Ruth; and her grandmother, Alberta Sowers. She also is rejoined in heaven with her precious angel whom she will meet for the first time.
