Richard Davis

Richard Allen Davis (58) of Albion, Iowa, passed away on June 1st, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on June 6th, 2015 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Richard and his family. Richard Allen Davis was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Paul Albert Davis and Helen Marie Cole on June 2nd, 1957. He was raised in Albion, Iowa, attending the Albion Community School, graduating from Marshalltown High School with the class of 1976. Following high school, Richard was employed at Loots Manning in Marshalltown, Marshalltown Manor, Oakveiw Manor in Conrad, Iowa, Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center as well as Lennox in Marshalltown. Richard enjoyed gas powered airplanes, R.C. cars, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson, camping, playing on his computer, tinkering with everything and wood working; building clocks and toys for his friends and family. Left to cherish his memory are his: mother; Helen Davis, siblings; Sharon Hickman, John Davis, Ruth (Randall) Gilgen, Edie Oziah and Glenda Davis-Cornell, nieces; Tiffany Davis and Amy Schuerman, Nephews; Chris Davis and Matthew Gilgen. In death, he rejoins his father; Paul Davis and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
