Richard Phillips

Richard Phillips, Jr., age 69, lifelong resident of Ferguson, passed away Sunday morning, June 14th, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 19th, at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Richard and his family. Ph. 641-844-1234.

Born on August 1st, 1956, in Marshalltown, he was one of six children born to Richard and Melba (Moody) Phillips, Sr. He attended the LDF Schools. Most recently he was employed at Swift Greenhouses and previously at Rinker Materials on East Olive Street in Marshalltown.

Surviving are his sisters- Deborah (Duane) Pansegrau and Vickie Westcott as well as several nieces, nephews and close friends Chuck and Darlys Finders.

In death, Richard rejoined his parents and three brothers- Gary, Tommy and David.
