Richard Schlosser, 60, of Marshalltown died at home on Wednesday March 9, 2011.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St Marys Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Miller officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family. He received his education in the Des Moines and Montour, Iowa area. Rick had worked the last 14 years at Meskwaki Casino. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, going to the Bass Pro Shops, enjoyed watching football, the Chiefs and the Hawkeyes, he also enjoyed watching movies.Left to cherish Ricks memory are his parents Dale Schlosser and Paula Mc New, his children; Tate (Patti) Schlosser, Tad (Linsey Bergen) Schlosser and Trenton (Janet) Schlosser all of Colorado, his grandchildren; Emma, Taylor, Benjamin and Wyatt, his siblings Peggy (Bruce) Sandven , Sherry Roseburrough and her companion Mark Easley (whom Rick called his brother), Connie Schlosser and Trisha (Tim) Doezal, eight nieces and nephews and fourteen great- nieces and nephews.In death Rick rejoines his maternal and paternal grandparents.
