Richard Albert Westcott, 63, of Marshalltown, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at UnityPoint Health - Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services for Richard will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. He was united in marriage to Jennie Vibbard on June 8, 2005. Richard had worked for Marshalltown Parks and Recreation for 25 plus years in city maintenance. He enjoyed working on his vehicles and models as well as going to car shows, racing and watching westerns. Richard is survived by his children: Cody (Charity) Westcott of Marshalltown and Ryan (Melissa) Westcott of Grinnell. Stepchildren: Dean, Gary, Devin, Alex, Terrill and Harley. Grandchildren: Jazmine, Jayla, Carter, Logan, Lillian and Phoebe. He is also survived by his siblings: Terrie Jo Sherbon of Utah, Leanna (Perry) Bowers of Gilman, Allen Smith of Marshalltown, Rodney Westcott of Kellogg, Cory Smith of Marshalltown and Skye (Brad) Ruse of Marshalltown; father, Roland Westcott of Marshalltown and step children: David and Lisa. Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Jennie; brother, Jacob Westcott; wife, Sharon and a grandson in utero, Gerald.
