Ricky Dean Pierson

Ricky Dean Pierson, 60, of Laurel, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Services for Ricky will take place Saturday, January 29 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Per the request of Ricky’s family, all attendees are invited to wear Harley Davidson attire. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ricky and his family. Ricky was a skilled contractor and most recently retired as a Supervisor from TPI. His life revolved around two Harleys: his beloved dog and his motorcycle. Ricky also enjoyed spending time with his friends and playing foosball. He had a personality that would fill a room and would help anyone who needed it. Despite his tough exterior, Rick had a very kind heart. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Marie Pierson (Kenny Duncan) of Marshalltown; children: Ashley (Alex) Pierson Lobato and Austin Pierson; three grandsons and several close friends, including David and Missy Weuve and Amy Dodd. In death, Ricky rejoins his father, Jerry; his faithful dog, Harley and his “dog-brother,” Walker.
