Rita L. Pearson

Rita Louise Pearson passed away on August 30th, 2015, under the care of Iowa River Hospice at Grandview Heights in Marshalltown, Iowa. No services are planned at this time. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Rita and her family. Rita Pearson was born on January 26th, 1943, to Merritt Cram and Doris Brooks in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Ft. Dodge, graduating from the Ft. Dodge Sr. High School. Earlier in life she and Arthur Wyatt were married, they later divorced. Eventually, Rita and Charles Pearson were united in marriage in Ft. Dodge. The family relocated and made their home in the Marshalltown area. Rita worked for the governors office as a secretary in the 1970s, but eventually settled down and became a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and reading. Left to cherish her memory are her children; John (Pam) Wyatt, Jeff Wyatt, Lisa Cox, grandchildren; Shylin Cox, Kaylie Cox, Rayna Cox, Joseph Brown. In death, Rita rejoins her parents, daughters; Laura Brown, Kimberly Wyatt, sisters; Shirley and Loreta, Brother; Bruce.
