Rita was born June 11, 1956 in Ft. Hood, Texas. She was the third of four children born to David and Christel (Kuntze) Tiger. She grew up in various towns and states in her early years as she would travel with her family as her dad was in the military. Rita would eventually land in Marshalltown, Iowa. She began work as a caregiver and did some work at various factories over the years. She left Marshalltown to move to Syracuse, New York where she resided for 30 years but came back to Marshalltown in order to care for her mother until the time of her passing.

In Rita’s free time, she loved to bake various goodies, work out in the yard, tend to her pristine flower gardens, hang out with her friends and spend time with her family. In her younger years, she tried to run track despite her health issues with asthma.

Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her sister, Shirley Kutzner; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and other loved family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Christel Tiger; her sisters, Janet Frimml and Karen Ferrin; brother-in-law, Dennis Kutzner and Ken Ferrin; paternal and maternal grandparents; and longtime friend Joyce Picciano.
