Ro Thla Peng, 48, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at home surrounded by his family and under the care of Iowa River Hospice.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Liberty Baptist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. He was the son of Ro Hnin and Hnian Can. Ro attended school and graduated with a Bachelors of Divinity degree in India. On December 1, 1984 Ro was united in marriage to Tum Chin in Burma. Ro was a member of the Chin Baptist Church which meets at the Liberty Baptist Church building in Marshalltown, Iowa.Left to cherish Ros life is his wife Tum Chin and his children: Zing Hnem Sung, Deborah Chin and Grace Lal Rem Ruati.
