Robb Steven Reinhard, 71, of Marshalltown, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Iowa River Hospice Home.

Robb, known by many as Elwood, was born on May 28, 1954, in Marshalltown. He was the son of Earl “Charlie” Leroy and Marilyn (Miller) Reinhard. Robb shared his birthday with his father, Charlie. Robb was raised and educated in Gladbrook, Iowa. Robb experienced profound loss early in life with the passing of his father and sister, Alayne, in 1967. His mother, Marilyn, later married Don Hasselmann, and together they had two sons, Robb’s brothers, Darren and Jared.

Robb owned and operated Elwood’s Pub in Gladbrook. He later sold insurance for several years before joining the Marshalltown Post Office, where he retired after nearly 25 years of service. Robb had four children with his former wife, Lisa (Gilchrist) Reinhard. Robb was a member of the Park Hill Church and was an avid sports fan – cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Robb is survived by his children: Jackie (Troy Merkel) Reinhard, Chelsea Reinhard, Jesse Reinhard, and Claire (Harsha Vege) Reinhard. Grandchildren: Jack Merkel, James Merkel, Alex Merkel, Peter Merkel, and Jay Vege. He is also survived by his brothers: Darren (Tina) Hasselmann and Jared (Carri Holst) Hasselmann and stepfather: Don (Carol Mead) Hasselmann; and several nieces and nephews.

Robb is preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and Marilyn; sister: Alayne Reinhard and his grandparents.
