Robert Anderson, 82, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Grandview Heights Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. There will be no visitation. Military Honors will be presented by Harry C. Harter Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 839 and American Legion Frank Lewis Glick Post #46 at the funeral home before leaving to Sheperd Cemetery near Union. He was the son of Fred and Neta (Glenny) Anderson. He attended school in the Union Community School District. Robert served his country in the United States Army for 8 years. He was united in marriage to Wyola Hagan in Albert Lee, Minnesota. They lived in Union, Iowa, and later moved to Marshalltown. Bob worked at Fisher Controls for 38 years until his retirement. He was also a member of the local UAW. He and Wyola enjoyed their RV and camping around the state of Iowa. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Linda Klaas of Marshalltown; Robert Wayne Anderson of Marshalltown; and Sandra Rhoads of Union, Iowa. Grandchildren: Steven (Sarah Blackstock) Anderson, Michael Klaas, Nancy (Matt) Hilsabeck, Lisa Etzen, Steven (Staci) Klaas. Great-grandchildren: Noah, Alyssa, Madison, Kayla, Piper, Sophie, Britlynn and Gavin. Brother, Mayo Wayne (Darlene) Chance of Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota. In death, Bob joins his parents, Fred and Neta; wife, Wyola; and sisters, Helene and Rhoda.
