Robert "Bob" Dean Fischer

Robert “Bob” Dean Fischer, 77, of Marshalltown, Iowa, formerly of Seattle, Washington, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Bob was born August 5, 1946, in Mobridge, South Dakota. He was one of four children born to Anton “Tony” and Ruby (Auske) Fischer. After graduating from high school and attended college in Bozeman, Montana. Bob enjoyed the freedom of moving and lived in many different places throughout his life. His longest residence was over 20 years in Seattle, where he worked as a bargaining estimator for Todd Shipyard. He enjoyed deep sea diving and tinkering and was a member of the Elks Lodge.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Judy Edwinson of Albion, IA and Jerry Fischer (Betty Frank) of Billings, MT; sister-in-law Mary Fischer; nieces and nephews: Mike Fischer, Jerald “Juice” Fischer Jr., Julie Fischer, John Fischer, Neal Edwinson and Lori Andrews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Tony and Ruby, his brother Myrel Fischer, brother-in-law Frank Edwinson, sister-in-law Janet Fischer and niece Missy Fischer.
