Robert "Bobby" Grout Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Grout Jr., 55, of Marshalltown, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at UnityPoint-Marshalltown.

Robert Grout Jr. was born on May 31, 1968 in Marshalltown. He was the son to Robert Sr. and Nellie (Hauser) Grout. Robert was united in marriage to Kathy (Porter) Robinson for thirty-five years. He had worked numerous construction jobs and was very handy with almost anything. Robert was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown.

Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting and just about anything related to being outdoors. He also enjoyed watching television and was known to be a gentleman and walk the ladies home in the evening so they were not alone.

Robert is survived by his wife: Kathy; siblings: Roberta (Kirk) Rundall, Connie Fields, Nikki Flowers, Shelly Voigt, Stacy Voigt, Craig Voigt, Heidi Voigt, Michael (Adrian) Voigt and Tammy Voigt Deschamps. He is also survived by his nieces: Tessa Rundall and Natasha Rundall as well as several other family and friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents: Robert Sr. and Nellie and his brother: Dean Grout.
